Work is now underway to develop a custom Malta draft of the new comedy play ‘The Imposter’ which premiers next year in Valetta.
Maltese humour has its own quirks and idiosyncrasies whilst traditional British comedy is popular in the island. Some jokes however do not translate well and it has to do said the Maltese don’t really do subtlety when it comes to comedy.
The setting for ‘The Imposter’ will also change for this production, from an English country house to a grand Maltese villa. It’s going to be interesting to see the overall result.
