John’s published plays are regularly performed in venues ranging from pub cellars to professional theatres including the Liverpool Unity, Stockport Plaza, the Malaposta in Lisbon and the Lowther Pavilion, Lytham, amongst many others.
John Waterhouse
John is based in Poynton, Cheshire and his work is largely inspired by travel experiences as well as classic British comedy from film and T.V. John is a huge fan of 60’s and 70’s British comedy including The Carry On films, Peter Sellers, Peter Cook, Frankie Howard and Tony Hancock.
John’s own theatre company is Casagua Productions which has undertaken several tours of his plays around the North West.
John also loves thrillers and his own novels are mainly romantic thrillers with favourite authors including Alastair Maclean, Dan Brown and Frederick Forsythe. When not writing, John can often be found hiking in the Peak District or further afield. John is also a keen skier.
